True, there have been tremendous advances in glue technology recently. I had asked that cobbler how long I should delay before wearing the boots to allow the glue to set. He said, "You can wear them right now, if you like."
I think cobblers are going the way of television repair people. Many things are cheap enough that buying a new one is less trouble than repairing the old one.
